2010: A Year of Contests

Calling all loopers, drummers, accordionists, synth composers, CUBE amp enthusiasts and piano players! Roland Canada has named 2010 the Year of Contests and wants to give aspiring musicians the chance to win amazing prizes, not to mention bragging rights. With six contests running this year: the BOSS Loop Station 2010 Championship, the Roland V-Drums Contest, the Roland Synthesizer Contest, the 4th Roland V-Accordion Festival, the Roland U CUBE Contest and the Roland Piano Festival, every musician can find their “contest niche” and show us what they’ve got! Last year’s contests saw amazing competitors duke it out for gear and glory, showcasing Canada’s wide cross-section of musical talent.

This year, Roland is adding to the contest roster by extending the invitation to any musician who uses a CUBE Amplifier with the Roland U CUBE Contest and to piano players with the Roland Piano Festival.

2010 : Une année de concours

Avis aux compositeurs de boucles musicales, aux batteurs, aux compositeurs sur synthétiseur, aux adeptes des amplificateurs CUBE et aux pianistes! Roland Canada a déclaré 2010 « année des concours » et veut donner l’occasion aux musiciens en devenir de gagner de superbes prix, sans parler des honneurs dont ils pourront se vanter. Avec les six concours prévus cette année — le Championnat Loop Station 2010 de BOSS, le concours V-Drums de Roland, le concours Synthétiseur Roland, le 4e Festival de V-Accordéon Roland, le concours U CUBE Roland et le Festival de piano Roland —, chaque musicien peut trouver son « créneau de concours » et nous montrer ce qu’il sait faire! Les concours de l’an dernier ont amené des concurrents remarquables à se disputer équipement et gloire, tout en faisant ressortir la grande diversité des talents musicaux du Canada.

Cette année, Roland allonge la liste potentielle de participants en lançant également l’invitation à tout musicien qui utilise un amplificateur CUBE avec le concours U CUBE Roland, ainsi qu’à tous les pianistes qui veulent participer au Festival de piano Roland.
