The Nationals Finals will take place at the Hansa Haus in Mississauga, Ontario on September 9th, 2010 @ 7:00PM. This event is a free, family-friendly evening, which will feature performances by each semi-finalist, an adjudication of their performance by an expert jury, the presentation of prizes, and of course, the announcement of the National Finals Grand Prize Winner.
Special Guest Performance – Sergio Scappini
Internationally renowned accordion artist, composer and educator, Sergio Scappini, will perform at the Roland V-Accordion Festival National Finals. Currently teaching at the “Giuseppe Verdi” music academy in Milan, Sergio has competed in several national and international competitions, and has performed with several prestigious orchestras including; Teatro alla Scala orchestra, Sanremo symphony orchestra, G Cantelli Orchestra in Milan, Swiss chamber orchestra, orchestra of the Swiss Radio, chamber Orchestra “Città di Pavia”, “Edgar Varèse” ensemble, Quartetto Elfran, “Solisti di Milano”, “Orchestra Reunion cumbre”, and many more.
Sergio is responsible for countless world creations of accordion solo music and accordion concertos by R. Grisoni, L. Belmonti, W. Zubitsky, L. Francesconi, A. Corghi, M. Panni, L.Tessadrelli, and M. Moretti. He has also recorded for radio and television in Italy, Switzerland and Portugal.

La finale nationale se tiendra le 9 septembre 2009 à 19 h à la Hansa Haus de Mississauga, en Ontario. L’entrée est gratuite et la finale se veut une soirée de musique pour toute la famille. Chaque finaliste livrera sa prestation, que le jury d’experts évaluera, puis les prix seront présentés et, bien sûr, le gagnant du premier prix sera annoncé.
Invité spécial – Sergio Scappini
Sergio Scappini, accordéoniste de renommée international, compositeur et professeur, se produira sur la scène du Festival de V-Accordéon Roland lors de la finale qui se tiendra le 9 septembre 2010 à la Hansa Haus de Mississauga. Enseignant présentement à l’académie de musique Giuseppe Verdi de Milan, Sergio a participé à plusieurs compétitions nationales et internationales et il a joué avec de nombreux orchestres prestigieux. Parmi ceux-ci, mentionnons Teatro alla Scala, l’orchestre symphonique Sanremo, G Cantelli Orchestra de Milan, l’orchestre de musique de chambre suisse, l’orchestre de la Swiss Radio, l’orchestre de musique de chambre Città di Pavia, l’ensemble Edgar Varèse, Quartetto Elfran, Solisti di Milano, Orchestra Reunion Cumbre, et de nombreux autres.
Sergio est à la source d’innombrables œuvres musicales pour accordéon seul ou plusieurs solistes par R. Grisoni, L. Belmonti, W. Zubitsky, L. Francesconi, A. Corghi, M. Panni, L.Tessadrelli, et M. Moretti. Il a également enregistré pour la radio et la télévision en Italie, en Suisse et au Portugal.
